Ghost knows he’s got a good thing because the Starz show was renewed for season four before its third season even aired.
Another episode with Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr), with all the twists and turns we’ve come to expect from crime drama series as he manages to step out of his father’s shadow? Sounds good to us.
So now that we know that there will be more Tariq and co, here’s everything we know about exactly when Ghost will be back on our screens. Like we said, we’ve got this sweet, sweet renewal news – but we don’t know when it will be.
However, Rainey Jr assured fans that they didn’t have to wait long during this latest 16-month hiatus as the fourth season is already in the early stages of production. He told the Daily Express in April 2023:
“Hopefully, hopefully, the wait for season four isn’t as long as the wait for season three.”
Rainey Jr also said he could watch the show and his character would continue for a while.
“I want to take those 50s,” he joked, adding:
“But actually I feel we still have a lot of time. We’ll be here for quite a while.”

Michael Ealy – who TV fans will recognize from the Netflix comedy series The Woman in the House Across the Street from The Girl in the Window – has been cast as Detective Don Carter.
The new face on the block is said to be a rising NYPD officer who was on his way to becoming a police commissioner until his wife was killed in a shootout between rival drug cartels.
A description of the new detective reads:
“Committed to making the streets safer, Carter traded his tie for a Kevlar vest and now leads an elite NYPD drug task force that is getting real results against inter-ethnic violence. related to drugs. “Although his achievement is considerable public recognition, nothing can bring back his lost love.”
Besides the new detective, we can of course expect Rainey Jr to return as Tariq.
Sadly, we’ll be parting ways with Lorenzo Tejada Sr (Berto Colon) in season four, after Monet (Mary J Blige) put a bounty on his head, resulting in his death.

At the end of the third season, we saw Tommy Egan, Joseph Sikora’s murderous character, appear on the show, showing that we should always expect surprises throughout the series, especially when Ghost can touch deep into the bench of the Universe of Strength.

What is going to happen Ghost season 4?
While we don’t know the details of who Tariq will face in the show’s next season, Ealy’s casting announcement sounds like a big clue .From his portrayal of Detective Don Carter and his personal grudge, one would assume he will become a thorn in the side for Tariq as he leads the NYPD’s elite anti-drug task force.
Expect clashes with Tariq and his criminal syndicate, which could put the entire company in jeopardy. Elsewhere in the series, perhaps we can expect more consequences from Lorenzo’s sudden death. Meanwhile, Tariq himself grows more and more like his father with each passing season. Also, there’s always the chance to spawn from elsewhere in the Power Book universe.

Although production on the sequel has begun, we still don’t have any footage of the sequel, but hopefully we will soon!
